Michael O’Connell is the host and creator of the podcast It’s All Journalism, which focuses on interviewing working journalists on how the market has changed and the way they are doing their jobs now.

He has been a journalist for 35 years, working both in print and online. He got his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, then in 2010 he went back to school and got his masters from American University in interactive journalism. He started the podcast with two of his classmates and has been releasing weekly episodes for the past five years. The idea for the podcast came from hearing other media professionals speak weekly in his class. Besides his podcast, he currently works at Federal News Radio as their morning web editor.
